Help your cat or dog learn good house manners by keeping them off furniture or counters, or out of selected rooms. ScatMat emits a mild, harmless static pulse when your pet touches it. Pets soon learn which parts of your home they should avoid. With three intensity levels, ScatMat works for any size cat or dog.
The vet approved ScatMat works when all else fails. Used in conjunction with your normal training techniques, and surface cleaning (as appropriate for elimination behavior changes) the Scat Mat will help you restore harmony to your household.
Available in 3 sizes, selectable from the drop down menu at right. Extensions for added coverage, and Dummy mats for use once your pet is trained, are also available.
Scat Mat Includes the DC Power Pack (attached). Requires (1) 9-Volt battery (not included).

Scat Mats only train pets who get onto, or into the unapproved space.
- 24/7 Operation
Scat Mats operate unattended and correct the pet at exactly the time and location of the unwanted behavior, day or night.
- Action Indicator
This activation 'tattle-tale ' light helps you decide when the pet is trained. It will blink a count showing how many times the mat has been stepped since it was last turned on.

Why it Works
Habituated behavior patterns are often correctable through simple avoidance of problem spots.
When positioned where pet feet will be just before an unwanted behavior is exhibited (i.e.: scratching, soiling, etc.), the Scat Mat sends a strong message to the pet while it is 'thinking' about performing an undesirable act.
Most pets quickly associate this unpleasant experience with the location. To avoid similar static sensations they begin to avoid the area.
Other reasons why Scat Mat works:
- Training is consistent at the location, 24 hours a day.
- It is the environment rather than an owner doing the 'conditioning'.
- The static sensations generated are sufficiently surprising and unpleasant. These sensations communicate an immediate 'Leave now' message.

ScatMat Sizes
The Scat Mat is available in three different sizes. We recommend using the largest size practical to cover the area where the pet stands, sits, or lies before misbehaving.
The Scat Mat consists of a vinyl mat with embedded wire, and a battery pack. No assembly required. For entrances see this page.

- SKM-C411 - 48" x 20" Large Scat Mat: The most popular size, use on furniture, car hoods, or in doorways.
- SKM-C411E - 48" x 20" Large Scat Mat Extension. For use with the SKM-C411. Extension Mats enable you to extend your coverage area more economically.
- SKM-C41D - 48" x 20" Large Scat Mat Dummy. For extended coverage after the pet has been trained. Provides no stimulus.
- SKM-C421 - 30" x 16" Medium Scat Mat: Perfect for counter tops, smaller furniture. Not suitable for doorways.
- SKM-C421E - 30" x 16" Medium Scat Mat Extension. For use with the SKM-C421. Extension Mats enable you to extend your coverage area more economically.
- SKM-C42D - 30" x 16" Medium Scat Mat Dummy. For extended coverage after the pet has been trained. Provides no stimulus.
- SKM-C44 - 46" x 3" Scat Strip: For window sills and counter edges primarily. Not suitable for doorways.
- SKM-C45 - 46" x 3" Scat Strip Extension. For use with SKM-C44 for added coverage.
