Use with the PAT01 Transceiver Module to turn on lights, dim lights, even start your custom designed macros as you pull into the driveway! Sends an RF signal to the Transceiver which in turn sends an X10 control signal to the X10 receiver(s) with the same address.
This is the new sleek, thin design we have all been dreaming about. You can now have the comfort and convenience to turn on and off two lamps or appliances and brighten and dim lights connected to any X10 Lamp Module or Wall Switch Module.

PLEASE NOTE: The following instructions only apply to the BLACK PHR04 keychain remote. The GRAY keychain remote uses slightly differing instructions. Please refer to the paper manual included with your GRAY keychain remote for programming. The following instructions only apply to the BLACK remote. Please check back as we will be updating these instructions to accommodate both versions.
Easy to set up! To change the Housecode, simply hold down the (top) ON button for 3 seconds. After the LED light flashes, press and release the (top) ON button the appropriate number of times for the Housecode you want to set. Once for A, twice for B, etc. The LED blinks for each press.
To change the unit code: Press and hold the (top) OFF button for 3 seconds. The red LED blinks back the current code. Press and release the top OFF button the appropriate number of times for the Unit Code you want.1 time for Unit Code 1, 2 times for 2, 16 times for 16. The bottom button (lower) will automatically become 1 unit code higher than the top. (for example if the top button is A5, then the bottom button will be A6)
The PHRO4 Wireless RF Keychain Remote works with The X1O PRO Base Transceiver (PATOI) or any X10 PRO Security Base (PRO2000) to let you turn on or off two sequentially coded X10 PRO Modules and brighten/dim lights connected to Lamp Modules and Wall Switch Modules.
Setting up the Remote:
In The default state (after first fitting the battery) the PHRO4 is set to Housecode A. The first (top) two ON-OFF buttons control modules set to Unit Code 1. The second (middle) two buttons control A2.
I. Plug in an X-10 PRO Transceiver (PAT01 or Security Console, sold separately).
To turn on or off X-1 0 PRO Modules set to Unit Code (on Housocode A) press the first (top) ON or OFF button. To turn on or off X-10 Modules set to Unit Code 2 (on Housecode A) press the second (bottom) ON or OFF button. To brighten or dim Lamp Modules or Wall Switch Modules press the number button first, then press Bright or Dim button, If you want to control Modules 1 and 2 on Housecode A.
To change the Housecode:
- Press and hold the first (top) ON button, The red LED blinks once. 3 seconds later, the LED blinks the current setting: 1 blink for Housecode A, 2 blinks for B 16 blinks for P.
- Release the first (top) ON button.
- Press and release The first (top) ON button the appropriate number of times for the Housecode you want to set. Once for A, & twice for B, etc. The LED blinks for each press. IMPORTANT: Hold the button on your last press. 3 seconds later, the red LED blinks back the new setting. (i.e. 3 blinks for Housecode C). lf you do not follow this programming sequence, the LED will stay on for 1 second and your existing setting will not be changed.
To change the UnIt Code for the first (top) two buttons (the second pair of buttons are always one Unit Code # higher than the first pair, i.e. if you set the first button to 6, the second button controls 7, etc.).
- Press and hold the top OFF button. The red LED blinks once. 3 seconds later, the LED blinks the current setting: 1 blink for Unit Code 1, 2 blinks for 2, 16 blinks for 16.
- Release the top OFF button.
- Press and release the top OFF button the appropriate number of times for the Unit Code you want. IMPORTANT: Hold the button on your last press, 3 seconds later new code blinks back. If you do not follow this programming sequence, the LED will stay on for 1 second and your existing setting will not be changed.
To change the battery: Pry the unit apart and fit a CR2025 Lithium 3V battery. Observe polarity.
Note: As with all RF transmitter devices; electrical fields, metal doors or door/window frames and appliances can cause interference that can decrease the strength of the transmitted signal. Re-orienting the transmitter or receiver console may increase your ability to send and receive the necessary signaIs.
