Installing the Power Horn
Set the House Code wheel to the same house code as the Security System
Note: The house code for the Security System is downloaded by the security installation firm.
The deafult is 'A', when using the PRO2000 Security Panel.
Set the Unit Code wheel to the same code as the security light from the PRO2000 download.
Note: If the owner does not wish the Power Horn to be triggered when the security light is
switched on, the security installation firm can re-configure the console to issue a sequence of
All Lights On/All Units Off commands during an alarm instead of flashing just the security light.
not be triggered when the security light is turned on.
Plug the Power Horn into a convenient AC outlet, preferably an unswitched one to ensure that
the Power Horn cannot be turned off accidentally.
Testing the Power Horn
Repeatedly, press the ON button, followed by the OFF button, (at least twice each) on any X-10
controller or remote, such as a PHC01 Mini Controller, which corresponds to the same House
Code and Unit Code as the Power Horn. After the siren starts, it will continue for 4 seconds, or
until an OFF command is received.
Trigger the security system by pressing the PANIC button on the console or on a remote. The
Power Horn will be activated automatically in the next 4 seconds after the alarm has been
triggered and will continue for around 4 seconds after the system is disarmed.
The PSH02 also has the ability of being used as an annunciator. Using an alarm panel with the
X-10 capability, send a Unit code "ON" that matches the house and unit code of the PSH02
followed by sequential "BRIGHTEN/DIM" commands (if available). The Siren will emit a high
pitched chime from the Brighten command, and a lower pitch chime from the DIM command.
This could be used to announce that a zone has been opened while the alarm is disarmed.
