This model comes with everything you need to get started with sophisticated lighting control. It includes a Lumina home control system with enclosure, lock set with two keys, Lumina Keypad, UPB™ PIM & cable, UPB™ phase coupler, serial cable, transformer & battery, manuals, and accessories. All you need to add are the switches you wish to control.
Lumina is primarily intended to support HAI's HLC products, which include switches, mode controllers, room controllers, and house controllers. It can operate lighting devices by other manufacturers, including X-10 based devices, ALC hardwire, RF, custom hardwire, and others provided by HAI's connectivity partners.
At the heart of Lumina are six standard modes: Home, Sleep, Away, Vacation, Party and Special. These modes can be activated at the touch of a button or by time schedule or event.
The system includes HAI’s Advanced Control Programming (ACP) logic that allows installers and homeowners to set schedules and actions performed by the system, and add new macros or modes as desired. Lumina has an astronomical clock and automatic daylight savings for accurate dusk to dawn lighting control year round. Optional wireless door contacts and motion detectors add occupancy based lighting control.
Easy to Install
All of Lumina’s features can be programmed on-site, without a computer, using the included LCD Keypad. A new “quick-set” feature simplifies naming light switches on the keypad. If desired, programs can also be created and stored on a personal computer with Lumina set-up software.
Lumina provides HLC Configuration, a set-up feature that configures HLC Dimmers, Switches, Room and House controllers (devices). Lumina makes initial installation easy by configuring the addresses and links in each HLC device automatically. Once configured by Lumina, adjustments to room scenes are very simple: just tap a scene button five times to memorize the settings of the lights.
Expandability
Your Lumina system can be expanded from lighting control to encompass full home automation when it is installed or at a later date.
You may add additional interface options, such as an OmniTouch touchscreen or OmniTouch with Video touchscreen, to your Lumina system.
If you add HAI's Omnistat Communicating Thermostats, you may control your home's temperatures through your Lumina system. HAI offers temperature sensors and a number of other accessories to expand your system, including a variety of wireless options. You may choose to access your Lumina system remotely through several software options or via products offered by HAI's connectivity partners.
