Install While Downloading
Description:
This option downloads a small program (haldeluxe.exe). When this program is activated, the system goes out to the Internet and downloads the files for the HALdeluxe program. Only the files that are needed are downloaded.
Important Notes:
|
- You must be connected to the Internet to run the program.
- HALdeluxe should not be running when this program is running. (The program will flash a warning if it finds HAL running.)
- If the connection to the Internet is broken during the procedure, the program will automatically ask if you would like to uninstall the partial program. It is recommended that you choose "yes" for this option. The partial files will be uninstalled. Reconnect to the Internet and re-run the downloaded program (haldeluxe.exe)
|
Instructions:
|
- Download the Internal install program, HALdeluxe.exe (less than 400Kb), to any location on the computer or run it from its location on our website (skip to step 4).
- Make sure you're still connected to the Internet before running the install program.
- Double-click on the downloaded file.
- Follow the onscreen instructions.
|
Errors:
Normally, when the HALdeluxe.exe file is run, the program automatically connects to the Internet and starts downloading the files. Some people may encounter a problem where the system says that it can't connect to the network server. This may happen if certain online services, such as America Online (AOL), are used for connecting to the Internet. If this error occurs, start the online service, such as AOL, then double-click on the HALdeluxe.exe file; the download/installation process should begin. Leave the online service running until HAL is completely installed.
|
Download Then Install

Important Notes:
|
- HALdeluxe should not be running when you start to install this software.
- If the connection to the Internet is broken during the procedure, delete the file that didn't completely download. Reconnect to the Internet and re-download the file.

Errors:
Some people may encounter an error during installation where the program asks for Disc 2 or something similar. This error occurs because Internet Explorer renamed the files when they were downloaded and the installation program can't find the files it needs. To correct this, go to the location on the computer where the files were downloaded. If the file names don't match the names listed above, then right-click on the file name, select the option "Rename", and change the file names to match. Generally, the files that are renamed are the ones with the ".W02" to ".W10" extensions.
