Remote sirens that generate a loud (110 decibel) alarm to annunciate a fire, intrusion, or emergency condition can be connected to your Honeywell Wireless Home Security System. The sirens can be used to replace or augment the control panel audible alarm or to generate additional alarms in other areas. Multiple remote sirens can be used to ensure than an alarm is heard throughout the entire house.

A remote siren can also be installed in a place that will startle a burglar and cause him to flee. Remote sirens are plugged into 110-volt electrical outlets and require no additional wiring. Any number of remote sirens can be added to the Honeywell Wireless Home Security System.

You Need to Know:
  • Remote sirens must be plugged into outlets that are on the same phase (branch) of the electrical system as that of the Home Security System control panel.
  • A remote siren will not operate if it is unplugged, if it is plugged into a switched outlet that is turned off, or if the main household power fails.
  • Each remote siren must be added to the Home Security System control panel equipment list before it can operate as part of the system.
  • Remote sirens should be tested every week to verify that they are working properly.
