Features:
  • Freeze sensors are designed for installation on an interior wall.
  • Freeze sensors require no wiring.
  • Freeze sensors monitor temperature continuously - 24 hours a day, and activate if the temperature drops below 41 degrees Fahrenheit (5 degrees Celsius).
  • Freeze sensors communicate low temperature conditions to the Home Security System control panel and cause an alarm to sound.
  • The Home Security System can be programmed to deliver a voice message to two designated numbers to announce potential low temperature damage.
  • Each freeze sensor continually tests its batteries and notifies the control panel when they are low. You Need to Know:
  • Each freeze sensor requires two AAA alkaline batteries (not included).
  • Each freeze sensor must be added to the Home Security System control panel equipment list before it can operate as part of the system.
  • Each freeze sensor should be installed within 100 feet of the Home Security System control panel.
  • Freeze sensors can be mounted with double-sided tape or screws (both are provided).
  • Freeze sensors should be installed where they will not be exposed to moisture.
  • Freeze sensors may be installed in any location that you want to protect from low temperatures. However, avoid locations near exterior walls that may become excessively cold.
  • Each freeze sensor should be tested seasonally to verify that it is working properly. Testing requires that you cool the sensor to a temperature below 41 degrees Fahrenheit (5 degrees Celsius).
