The Extra Receiver for Reporter w/Voice has relays, which can activate other electrical devices, such as louder alarm bells, lights or cameras when triggered. The receiver will accept alerts from up to eight different sensors (sold separately), each with a distinct tone to distinguish it from the others.
A 12V DC power transformer is included to power the Extra Receiver. Four AA batteries (sold separately) may be installed for backup power; the device will also run exclusively on the batteries for months at a time in locations without a convenient electrical supply.
