This inlet valve fits into a 1 5/8" diameter hole in a mounting bracket inside the wall. The outer dimensions are 3 1/8" by 4 7/8". It can be mounted with the lid opening up or down. Mounting screws are about 3 7/8 inches apart in the center and the diameter of the vacuum hose hole is about 1.5 inches. There are two metal contact points located inside the hole of the valve and two screws on the back for the low voltage wire. This valve replaces any type of older valve (except some pre-1970 that activate by PRESSING copper or a button, or any with 1.25 inch diameter holes). This valve allows you to use a low voltage hose to turn your central vacuum on or off at your finger tips at the hose handle.

Metal inlets are more decorative and can be used outdoors or in the floor. Available in White, Chrome, Bronze or Satin Brass.
