The ideal home theater system gives you great sound and picture, but disappears when not in use. The problem is that when you hide the equipment inside cabinets, you lose the ability to control them with line-of-sight infrared remotes. That?s where the Hot Link Pro kit fits in!
The kit features all you need to capture IR signals outside of the cabinet, and recreate them inside. It includes one IR receiver and six emitters allowing you to control up to 6 devices inside the cabinet. The receiver "eye" features a three-foot cord, so it?s easy to place it in just the right spot. It even features a "blink-back" LED, so you can see that your IR commands are being received! Works with most IR remote controls.

Specifications:
Main Repeater Box is 1 inch high, 2 inches wide and 3 inches long. Six Infrared Emitters are on a black 7 foot long ribbon cable mounted to the main Repeater Box that peels apart to allow up to 14 feet distance between emitters. Clear double-stick tape is reusable if surfaces stay clean and will not harm plastics. Free replacement tape available.
Eye is a 7/32 inch diameter, 1-1/4 inch long brass tube with a side viewing window on a 3 foot cable that allows mounting in cabinet door slots and comes with velcro ? tabs and black screw down tab for mounting. Extensions for this cable are available
How Hot Link Pro works:
The Hot Link patented system constantly monitors the ambient light and noise floor. In darker ambient light it becomes more sensitive to remote control pulses, making the eye the most sensitive it can be based on ambient light environment. When the eye is in a "hidden" location behind a speaker grill, tucked up in a toe-kick or in a door slot it compensates for the expected loss in distance by becoming more sensitive to the pulses emitted from remote controls.
This allows the Eye to be mounted almost anywhere. Direct line of sight is not need in most installations. Some clients have the Hot Link Pro Eye mounted on the trim of a closet behind the seating area to one side or down the hall from their Home Theater room.
Hot Link Pro can be used with cabinet doors open or closed. The speed at which the Hot Link repeats signals is so fast, A/V equipment just sees the signal as one signal.
