The SecureView Camera is available in two versions, Indoor (SV-IN) and Outdoor (SV-OUT).
Security just got easier! SecureView® is a camera in a light bulb that screws into your indoor or outdoor light fixtures and sends a video signal to your television or to a VCR. There are no wires to run, no holes to drill, and no antennas required. Package contains camera in a bulb, decoder, and RCA cable. All you need is a TV or VCR and a light socket. Purchase extra decoders, up to four per camera, to watch the video from different televisions.

How It Works
SecureView is unique! The "camera in a light bulb" simply screws in to any
light socket. Inside the "bulb" is a sophisticated low-light monochrome
camera, coupled to our exclusive IRFS™ patented circuitry. The video signal
is "encoded" by this circuit and fed directly to the 110-volt power line.
Each camera has a companion "decoder" which plugs into any wall outlet. A
typical homeowner would plug in the decoder at the outlet nearest the TV. A
standard video output connects the decoder to any TV or VCR using linelevel
RCA-type cables.
Once the decoder is plugged in and connected, live video is delivered to the
TV or VCR. It's simple and easy. There are no wires to run, no holes to drill,
and no antennas or complicated "tuning" is required.
How Do We Do It?
That's our secret! Using our proprietary Induction RF System™, we can send
live video across the power line anywhere in your home. Let's just say it in
simple terms: The video signal "wraps around" the power line, completely
separate from the AC voltage. We have a total of 17 separate patents, and
others pending, covering the IRFS™ process.
How Far Can It Go?
We've successfully sent SecureView video over 2000 feet of AC wiring.
Distances in your home or business will vary based on how the building is
wired.
What About the Neighbors?
We designed SecureView to "stop" at your service drop, where your
building's electrical system connects to the utility company's meter. And since
you must have a decoder to use the camera, there is no risk of anyone
receiving a picture elsewhere on your power line. Without the decoder, the
signal is "invisible."
Don't You Get Interference?
No! That's the remarkable SecureView difference. Even though the power
line is loaded with refrigerator motors, heater elements, peaks and dips,
SecureView "sees right past" 99% of this "power line junk."
How Much Area Can I View?
SecureView sees an 85-degree wide angle, from 6 inches to optical infinity.
Practically speaking, your viewing range in daylight extends to 100 yards or
more, depending on the amount of detail you expect. Obviously, something
as large as a car or truck can be recognized at a greater distance than, say,
a small dog or cat.
Wide-angle viewing is the best all-around choice for any type of security
camera. As a bonus, you eliminate expensive and trouble-prone tilt-andzoom
mechanisms, which also require somebody to push the buttons.
In darkness, SecureView is sensitive enough to give you a readable image
with the bare minimum of lighting. The built-in, patented infra-red system will
see in total darkness to a maximum of 30 feet; more with supplemental IR
floodlights.
What About This Infra-Red?
Many people misunderstand the idea of infra-red lighting. If you already have
motion detectors installed in your home, or if you use a remote control on
your TV, you are using different forms of infra-red. Without getting into optics
and physics, the simple explanation is this: Infra-red is "invisible light." What
we refer to as "white" infra-red is a portion of the IR spectrum which can be
transmitted, reflected, and imaged by a video camera. SecureView cameras
include our proven built-in IR enhancement, for sharp video pictures even in
total darkness. There are no "thermal" or heat-sensing properties to this
enhancement; it works just like visible light--you don't "see" it, but the camera
does, and delivers the image as a standard black-and-white video picture.
How Many Cameras?
The entry-level, single-camera SecureView will be upgradeable to a fourcamera
system. We expect future upgrades and improvements to include
more cameras.
If I Want to Watch in More than One Room?
Simply add extra decoders to the
system.
What Channel Does It Play On?
S e c u r e View doesn't "broadcast" on any channel. It uses "line level"
composite video, which plugs into your TV or VCR at the "Line In," "Video In,"
"Aux," or "A/V" connection, usually placed below channel 2 on your set, or on
a separate button on your machine or your remote control.
Can I Record the Picture?
Of course. SecureView is fully "plug and play" compatible with any device
using standard RCAconnections. You can plug the video feed direct into your
VCR, and record instantly. Monitor through your TV, or take the tape with you
and play it on any other VCR.
Is SecureView Internet Compatible?
Yes! Any PC equipped with an analog video capture device can accept live
video feeds from SecureView, and send them over the Internet. The type and
quality of your Internet transmission is determined by your computer's
hardware and software, and the speed of your online hookup. You are no
longer limited by the range of a "ball" camera or short-cable PC cam. Use
SecureView to transmit from anywhere in your home, and watch on the
Internet from anywhere in the world!
We expect to offer a plug-in card and more sophisticated software in the near
future, which will allow even greater control.
