The Pulsor is a motion / presence detection device that responds to the physical flexing of the material on which it is mounted (i.e., floor joists, cantilever decking, roof rafters, etc.) The flexing of the material triggers a voltage signal in the master processor that , in turn activates the alarm. The sensitivity of the Pulsor can be adjusted through the processor so that , if the installer wishes, the system can be set to detect the weight of a man or woman, but not a 60-pound dog. Pulsors are invisible, extremely reliable, long-lasting and pet immune. They can be used for protecting a large 7' x 4' oval of detection or can be adjusted to protect a smaller location. The oval of detection increases or decreases based on the thickness of the flooring, the length of the floor joist and the weight of the individual entering the area of detection. This is not a shock sensor and it does not respond to wind, rain, sunlight, or any kind of banging against the material.

Features:
  • Invisible. Pulsor cannot be detected. This presence detector does not detract from the decor of a room, nor is it easily noticed and defeated.
  • Pet Immune. The Pulsor is the only presence detector that will not false when a number of cats and dogs reside in a home.
  • Supervised. The Pulsor cannot be easily defeated. The system is designed to go into alarm condition if an intruder attempts to physically disrupt the system.
  • Extremely stable and reliable. Unlike other motion detectors, the Pulsor Motion Detector has a reputation for providing trouble-free security systems. If you want a system that will not aggravate you due to false alarms, the Pulsor is the presence detector for you.
  • Can be successfully installed under virtually any flooring or deck material. Now with 2 sensors available, you can choose a sensor that will work for almost any flooring.
  • Enhanced Pulsor - Designed for home automation, marine security and difficult residential security applications.
  • High Performance Pulsor - Designed for large area coverage for home automation, steel hull yachts, and extremely difficult flooring such as 3" x 12" laminated floor joists or 14" high silent floor trusses. Generates higher the signal strength than of the Enhanced Pulsor.
  • Compensates for temperature changes. For outdoor applications, simply install an even number of Pulsors per zone and the system will easily handle large shifts in outdoor temperatures.
  • Provide a better range - You can get larger than a 7' x 4' oval of detection.
  • By mixing high performance, enhanced Pulsors, you can eliminate kerfing, doubling up of sensors, and extremely high sensitivity adjustments.
  • Since Pulsors are packaged individually, you can easily install different types of sensors.
    • Example 1: Installing sensors in the living room and hallway of a home with 2" x 8" floor joists. Install one enhanced sensor in the center of joist in living room and install high performance sensor in the hallway 2 feet from the end of the joist. Both sensors work easily without kerfing.
    • Example 2: Same application as above; however, home is constructed using 12" TGIs. Install one enhanced sensor in the center of the joist in the living room and install one high performance sensor in the hallway 2 feet from the end of the joist. Once again, both sensors work easily without kerfing.
    • Example 3: Using the sensors to trigger lighting controls on a staircase. Install a enhanced Pulsor at the bottom of the 2nd riser and install a high performance sensor under the main support beam located at the top of the landing. In this instance as well, you will receive the coverage you need without having to kerf.
