WGL X10 RF USB Receiver with External Antenna 41032

Just like the original W800RF32A, this product receives all X10 RF formats and present the raw data to a computer. With this version the link is USB, not RS232.

The W800 family of RF receivers are designed to receive X10 RF signals generated from X10 products: Palm Pad remotes, key chain remotes, Hawkeye motion detectors, and many, many other X10 RF devices.

The W800 then sends these commands directly to your computer's USB port, depending on the model purchased. This allows your computer to receive X10 RF commands from remotes and motion detectors directly, without having to broadcast any power line commands, thus minimizing power line clutter and improving home automation response times by bypassing the usual power line delay.

Includes USB receiver module, 12 ft coax cable, external quarter wave whip antenna, and USB cable. No power supply is needed with this model.

This USB model incorporates a "virtual COM port" allowing it to function with all existing applications that were created for RS232 COM port as well as any new USB applications.

Overview Specifications x10

To use the W800 you will need a dedicated computer (PC or Mac) to interpret the received commands. If you do not have or want to use a dedicated computer, then you can use our stand alone V572 transceiver.

The W800 receives:
  • All 256 house/unit code addresses
  • All regular X10 RF commands (on, off, dim, brighten, etc.)
  • Extended 32 bit RF commands, such as those transmitted by X10's “Entertainment Anywhere” remotes and X10 security modules such as the DS10.
