The PHR03 Operates 16 modules via RF & powerline transmission. The hand held remote sends an RF signal to the base transceiver, which in turn converts the signal onto the powerline.

The Transceiver Module works in conjunction with a handheld wireless remote controller such as the X-10 PRO 16-Plus Remote (PHRO2 or PHRO3) to control lights and appliances from up to loft away, even through walls. As well as its built-in switched outlet, the Transceiver Module controls up to 15 additional X-10 modules via the powerline. The transceiver Module can also be controlled by other X-10 powerline controllers such as the X-10 PRO Mini Controller (PHC01).
The Transceiver Module is designed to control loads with the following ratings:
- Resistive load: 15 A
- Motor load: l/3 HP
- Incandescent load: 500W
- TV/Stereo: 400W
Setting up Transceiver Module:

- Set the Transceiver's House Code dial to match the House Code on the remote controller that will be used with it.
- Set the UNIT slide switch to 1-8 to control the built in outlet from a transmitter or controller sending a command to unit 1, or 9-16 to control the built in outlet with control 9. Either position allows control of all 16 unit numbers from the X-i0 PRO 16-Plus Remote Control (PHR02).
- Plug a lamp or appliance into the Transceiver Module and plug the Transceiver Module into a convenient AC outlet.
Local control
An ON-OFF button is provided on the Transceiver Module which toggles the output, of the built-in switched outlet, from ON to OFF and vice versa when pressed.
X10 PRO Security & Home Automation Remote Control
Lets you control up to 16 lights and appliances remotely when used with X10 RF base receivers. Has dim and brighten control for incandescent lighting.
Requires any X10 Transceiver ( PAT01 ), included in the IBM Home Director Starter Kit.
Features: Battery operated, RF transmission, 100' range, 16 unit control.
The Home Automation remote works with either an XlO Pro security system, or with a Transceiver Module to provide remote control of lights and appliances from anywhere in the house.
Setting up the Home Automation Remote
- Set the codewheel or the Home Automation Remote to the same House Code as the Security System or the Transceiver Module.
- Fit four AAA Alkaline batteries in the battery compartment in the back of the remote
- Set the slider switch or the Home Automation Remote to 1-8 to use the ON/OFF buttons control the first eight Unit Codes, or 9-16 to control the next eight Unit Codes.
Note: It is not necessary to register the Home Automation remote with the security system.
