Overview

Linear Commercial Telephone Entry System, Four Doors supports connection to CCTV Color Camera

Product Description

The Linear Commercial Telephone Entry System for Four Doors is an access control keypad/intercom designed for entrances to gated communities, apartment buildings, condominiums, office buildings and more. Use this system to provide residents of any home with secure access and the ability to communicate with visitors. Guests can simply call their hosts through the built-in speaker and microphone for convenient, permitted entry.

  • Provides full duplex phone communications
  • Temperature compensated, backlit VGA resolution LCD display and backlit keys
  • Rugged stainless steel enclosure with articulated, double-locking front panel
  • 32 security levels, 32 time zones, 32 door schedules, and 24 holiday schedules
  • Many installation choices: surface, recessed, gooseneck

The system allows control of up to four gates or doors. Telephone entry systems are used often (and sometimes even abused). To ensure long-term durability, the system is housed in a heavy-duty 16 gauge powder coated steel cabinet with a 16 gauge brushed stainless steel, articulated, double-locking front panel. Its built-in keypad is designed for constant pressure applied by many fingertips over many years.

LCD Display Features

The system employs hands-free, full duplex telephone communications between visitors and residents for granting access. Friendly, automated voice prompts guide visitors step-by-step to simplify usage. A temperature-compensated, backlit VGA resolution, LCD display presents up to 24 names at a time on separate alphabetical screens. That is in stark contrast to most telephone entry systems, which require you to scroll continuously through the entire alphabet, searching for a name.

The three keys directly below the display operate as "soft keys," changing functions with each mode. For instance, in Directory Mode, the keys become A and Z directional controls for scrolling through the alphabetical listings. In Information Mode, the keys permit switching between English and Spanish.

Versatile Programming and Installation Capabilities

The system can be used in a lobby or outside. Surface, recessed, and gooseneck mounting options are supported. An optional color CCTV camera (sold separately) can be connected to provide viewing of visitors, day or night. The four relay output channels can be programmed to control electric door strikes, magnetic locks, door/gate operators, or barrier gates.

The system is network ready. Multiple units can be interconnected with Linear’s AM3Plus and AE1000Plus Telephone Entry Systems through a 3-wire RS-485 or modem network. The system offers two programming choices. Use any PC at any location to access programming using Linear’s AXNET that is built into the controller. Or use a dedicated PC to access programming using Linear’s AccessBase2000 software. Both choices allow multiple unit connectivity.

Two Wiegand inputs are available for connection of 26, 30, or 31-bit Wiegand devices (card readers, etc.). Three sets of PBUS inputs are available for connection to Linear’s line of remote accessories.
